Tarrance Phillips is an up-and-coming Christian country artist currently living in Duncan, South Carolina. The oldest of three children, Tarrance was born and raised in Charleston. He is now beginning to see his dreams come to life.
His deep and soulful voice has led to many opportunities over the years within the music industry. And after winning a number of gospel talent shows, Tarrance received a one-song recording contract from premier records in Nashville. Following that success, he released an EP in 2010 titled “Reflections.” And in 2017, he released another EP that was titled “God’s Amazing Love,” which consisted of various styles of contemporary Christian, Gospel and country music and his original writing.
He can remember the highs and lows of pursuing his career and the many times he wanted to just give up and quit. But something on the inside wouldn’t allow him to just give up without a fight, and so Tarrance found the strength through his faith in Christ to keep moving forward trusting the plan of God for his life and destiny. Over the years some of the challenges Tarrance has faced in pursuit of his career has been to say the least overwhelming, but also rewarding all at the same time. Tarrance has seen many lives transformed and changed through his music and had the privilege of hearing testimonies of how his music inspired and encouraged people to keep the faith to move forward.
In January of 2000, Tarrance joined New Hope Baptist Church and began serving as one of the praise and worship leaders.
He also felt a strong calling on his life and began pursuing the call and, earned bachelors’ degree in Biblical studies. Years later, he was ordained as an Elder and has served through this present time.
Tarrance has always had a passion for music for as long as he can remember and has dreamed of one day being able to share his gift of singing and songwriting with the world.

His greatest influence is his mother, she has been and still is his greatest influence, and she, too, was a singer of gospel music.
Tarrance’s mission is to see that those without hope find hope, and those without peace find peace, and those that are not saved accept and receive salvation. His mission is to build up those who have been torn down, and encourage the discouraged, through his own personal testimony of how God through His process Transformed and changed his life.
What the fans can expect from Tarrance in concert or local events is someone who will worship and glorify God unashamed with his hands raised or shouts of Hallelujah! And getting the crowd involved in a sing a long.
